Clear Channel knows that the communities we serve are as diverse as the people in them. The unique flavor of each city and town on the map is the essence of its local spirit, as defined by the people who live, work, and raise families in those communities—and give of themselves in so many ways to help their neighbors.

Clear Channel Radio's Hassina Omar Continues Aid for the Children of Afghanistan
Denver CO – For the past six years, Hassina Omar, Account Executive with Clear Channel Radio Denver, has raised much-needed funds to deliver food and medical supplies to children who have been devastated war efforts in Afghanistan. This year, Omar raised an astonishing $26,800 from friends, family and clients. The money was used to supply 900 disabled children in three schools with a bag of rice that will last a family of five for two months. After the rice was distributed, another $5000 was used to provide 30 wheelchairs and five walkers and 150 pairs of crutches to emergency IT hospital. Omar said, "I am glad that the innocent children had some relief from all of us. Thanks again Hassina. I will be going back again next year if people want to contribute. It is humbling to do something positive when we are in the midst of so much negative daily news." Omar began her efforts with Handicapped Children of Afghanistan in honor of her mother who founded the program. Tax deductible donations may be sent to: Handicapped Children of Afghanistan, c/o UMB Bank, 707 Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO, 80206. Or you may visit: www.childrenofafghanistan.com.
